General rule of thumb is to decrease your carbs from breakfast to bedtime. And you'd never need scoops of carbs - start off the days with oats, and have rice or sweet potato with your next two meals or so.

Are you not getting in your required carbs through meals?

Thanks for replys guys . I only got the carbs on advise from the guy at the supplement store after telling him I wanted to lose weight but gain some muscle as well . Iv really got no idea what I'm doing this whole weight loss journey has been a heap of reading magazines online and YouTube other then that Iv had very little help so I'm probably doing alot wrong . With tightening the eating in just cut portions and sometimes totally remove a meal as I was stuck at a plateu so wanted to get through that so Iv gone from 2200 cal 220 carb 190 protein and 50 fat to about 1800 cal . Any advice would be much appreciated just trying to learn as much as possible

I wouldn't go any lower than 2k. 1800 is very very low, also it is very hard to build muscle and loose weight naturally. To build. Muscle you tend to need to be in a calorie surplus.
How tall are you and what are your goals?

Youve done really well on your own! Youve kicked a lot of bad habits (food wise) and formed a lot of good ones already. perhaps its now time to take it to the next level. You need to sharpen it all up. There's probably still a lot of room for improvement in what you're doing so if you can afford it id sit down with a good PT and go through your diet and training program. the trick is finding a coach that's knowledgeable and experienced, who knows wtf hes talking about. Ask around your gym, also talk to them all and watch them train others. The ones who dont take their eyes off their client, correcting form constantly, explaining the muscle being targeted etc, they're the ones to look out for.

Incorrect form, incorrect exercises, not warming up etc all these things will hinder development, if not initially then eventually.

just a tip, if you are eating such low calories like you are, you probably don't want to be "supplementing" carbs like you are now.

you will get a lot more satiety and sanity from actually eating the equivalent of food that you are just smashing in a 6s shake man.

props to you so far though, good work.
