    14weeks out....

Morning everyone. So I'm 14 weeks from my next show; a qualifier here in the UK, where the top 2/3 get an invite to the Arnold Europe in Spain in September and British finals in addition in October. I have narrowly missed out on top 3 last couple of qualifiers/but I aim to come in my biggest and leanest for this show: I found keeping a log last prep really helped so I'll be documenting it here for you to see. I'll be competing in classic bodybuilding where the limit is 90 for my height, but want to bring ultra sharp condition!! My food intake is still high from 14 to 5-6" weeks out, when I start cutting and implementing cardio. I'm training 6 days a week currently, all further details, in addition to diet will be included here. Thanks for reading guys!!

Sunday 19th Jan, exactly 12 weeks out from qualifier

    BACK/BICEPS

This evening trained back/biceps (pull workout), increasing clean calories from tomorrow for 6-8 weeks, giving me time to train with intensity still, as I can cut very quickly and in good condition currently. Here's what I did:
    1. V-bar pulldowns x 2 heavy working sets/1 back off set
    2. Dumbbell single arm rows x 2 hard work sets
    3. T-bar rows x 3 sets
    4. Rope standing pulldowns 3 x 15
    5. Seated wide overhead cable rows
    6. Machine pulldowns superset Hyperextensions
    7. Seated dumbbell shrugs
    8. Hex bar shrugs
    9. Biceps: Db concentration curls, alternate Db hammer curls, preacher hammer strength curls x 2 for each

Usually around 1hr 15 mins-30mins mate I don't rest that long between sets to keep intensity up.

Decided on a later qualifier in August as I feel an off-season for 5-6 months would do me the world of good. Can still qualify for the shows I intended to do!
Here is my training split and diet below (emphasis is on lean gains and not going overboard on cals for the sake of it, just inducing a small surplus.

    Monday: hams/calves
    Tuesday: chest/calves
    Wednesday: Back/calves
    Thursday: quads/hams
    Friday: Shoulders/arms
    Saturday: back/calves
    Sunday: cardio/off

    1. 2 x packets oats, 20g whey protein, 30 g peanut butter
    2. 205g chicken, 50g rice *(raw weight), 1 tbsp olive oil
    3. 205g chicken, 50g rice*
    4. 250g turkey thigh mince, broccolli
    5. Post-workout: 50g whey protein, 50g maltodextrin, 5g creatine, 1 x banana
    6. 30g peanut butter, 700ml semi-skimmed milk
Diet is just below 3000 cals with low fats, mod carbs and high protein.

So no shows sadly for the foreseeable future, but still focusing on diet (training at home with some bands and dumbbells). Will try and update more of that and still attempting to be somewhat consistent!!

Back into training, after gyms reopened this week in UK. My goal is to qualify for the same show, but next year and have a really good off-season!! Done a few full body sessions to get me back in the swing of things.
