Post up your home gym. Tell us what you have and what you want .

Here is the start of mine i just need to weld it.

It's a yolk and farmers walk I saved a fortune by doing it myself . I'm getting a prowler and sled tomorrow and will need to weld it as well

1 question I have should I get bumper plates or just rubber coated ?

Love this idea for a thread.

I will be looking at doing similar after watching this video [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nh1CB79eINs[/ame]

Hopefully will be building one of these in the next few weeks

    http://www.home-gym-bodybuilding.com/homemade-power-rack.html

With the right type of wood, bolts and design it will handle any kind of abuse ...apart from a fire.

Dead head Yeah those types of specialist things are always so expensive. Just need to find a decent scrap metal yard and some spare time.

Yeah and with the lat pulldown and also the seated row attachment should be very versatile.

They make heaps of shit themselves on there check it out.

I think there is already a home gym thread on this board somewhere. Sure I've seen it before.

I'll throw up some pics later. I got a heap of bought gear but plenty of home made shit I've banged up, fat bars, t bar row setup.

Heres a link to the other thread - http://www.aussiegymjunkies.com/showthread.php?t=1033

Really want to make a ghetto sled / prowler, currently I just chuck the kids in a washing basket and push them up and down the hallway.

Nice work man, post pics of the finished product to.

Been thinking about just going this instead of building the rack, would be a good powerlifting setup imo.

I have a dumbbell set from 10-55kg, an oly bar and 300+ kilo in Olympic plates. I am a builder so do a lot of welding and structural welds. Going to male all the equipment. Benches, power rack, sleds, leverage machines etc.

Need a garage to put it all in first though. Going through council for approval at the moment.

If people would be interested I could do tutorial/instructional thread or videos on equipment building. It seems simple as a tradesmen, but those not competant with welding might find it useful?

I have a treadmill, a stationary bike, 2 pairs of dumbbell (I have the old one made of steel...anyway its classic), resistance band and a stability ball.

lastly, it is not complete without the sound system to set my workout mood :ghz_01:
