I would put more energy into 1 thing at a time, either focus fat loss or focus muscle gain. Divert your energy and you'll see slower progress. There's also tonnes of research that shows you grow lean muscle faster the leaner you are. So focus on fat loss first, then focus on lean bulking is my recommendation.
